Tired of walking on eggshells?

Perhaps you've spent so long trying to keep the peace because you don’t dare ask for what you need.

You might find yourself walking on eggshells around other people, always putting them first, or constantly questioning whether you're overreacting.

Perhaps you've experienced bullying, rejection or relationships where you learnt that it was safer to stay quiet than to speak up.

If any of that feels familiar, I want you to know that you're not alone. The experiences that shape us can leave us doubting ourselves for years.

Hi, I'm Jamie Moffat...

I’m an integrative therapist, the founder of Inclusive Mind & Wellbeing, and I have been fully qualified for five years. Before stepping into a therapy room, I spent over 20 years working as a hairstylist, listening to people's deepest worries, heartbreaks, and life stories.

My own life shapes how I work, too. As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, I know the weight of shame, isolation, and feeling like you don't fit in. Having navigated my own complex trauma in therapy as a teenager, it takes a lot to shock me.

I know how daunting it is to share the parts of yourself you usually keep hidden, and I provide a warm, grounded space where you can bring your darker sides without any fear of being judged.

How I Work...

Therapy shouldn't feel like an interrogation or a clinical checklist. I keep things down-to-earth and collaborative. Together, we’ll look at what’s driving your current struggles and figure out how to get you unstuck.

I focus specifically on helping people with:

People-Pleasing & Self-Worth: If you're exhausted from constantly putting everyone else first, feeling responsible for other people's moods, or struggling to say "no" without feeling instantly guilty.

Triggers & Trauma: For those sudden moments when your body takes over—like a heavy feeling in your stomach or chest—because a current situation has triggered an old, unresolved memory.

Grief, Loss & Big Changes: Navigating the messy reality of losing someone, ending a relationship, or trying to find your footing during a major life transition.

My Approach...

I am an integrative therapist. In simple terms, that just means I don’t use a one-size-fits-all approach. I blend Person-centred therapy (keeping things warm and collaborative) with elements of Psychodynamic theory and Transactional Analysis to look at how your past experiences and childhood might be driving your current relationship patterns and habits.

While we look at those roots, we will also focus on practical, compassion-focused ways to help you respond to yourself with more kindness and less self-criticism. Everything we do happens at your own pace, in a private, confidential space where you can talk openly without fear of judgment.

Taking the First Step...

Sitting down with a stranger to talk about the things you usually hide is terrifying. You might be wondering how therapy actually works, or feeling nervous about opening up. That is entirely natural.

To make things a bit easier, I offer a free, 15-minute introductory call on Microsoft Teams. It’s just an informal chat to see what’s going on and figure out if we’re a good fit to work together. No pressure at all.

If you'd rather skip that and get straight to work, we can just book your first full session instead.
